At Seedlings Great and Small, we provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment

for young children 2 years 6 months - 5 years old. We want all our children to reach their fullest potential socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

We plan our curriculum based on the understanding that children learn best when they explore in a thoughtfully set-up environment while being engaged in a meaningful relationship with their peers and teachers.

Knowing that each child moves through the world in her own way, we take time to get to know each child and be attuned to each child’s needs.

We recognize problem-solving opportunities that occur daily to teach the children how to work in a diverse environment. Through that experience, children gain different perspectives and build resilience, respect for others and self-esteem. We believe that these are the building blocks that set children up to be happy, healthy, capable individuals.

It does take a village to raise a child. We recognize that parents are a child's first, permanent and most important teachers. Our goal is to work in partnership with you to create an environment that responds to your child's individual needs as they develop. We value your knowledge and input about your child and invite you to participate in our school community where and when you can. We are a community that recognizes that diversity comes in many different forms and welcome children of all backgrounds, cultures, skills, and abilities.
